Antigens are substances that prompts the generation of antibodies and can cause an immune response. Antibodies are gamma globulin that are found in the blood and other bodily fluids of the vertebrates. Antibodies are produces by a kind of white blood cells called a B cell (B lymphocytes). Antibodies are used by the immune system to identify and neutralize foreign objects such as bacteria and viruses.
